The food, the drink, the service and the view ... it all came together in a swirl of perfection last night at the Overlook. We both started with the house salad. I had the Prime Rib, garlic mash and roasted carrots & asparagus with a Strong Bow cider to wash it down. The husband had the King Salmon and a 49th State Vienna Lager to drink. I posted pics of both entrées and our house salads. Christina was our server and she was a delight. The service was kind, courteous and quick overall. I'd say the prices were on par with quality and portion size. While I don't see myself in Denali again anytime soon, I definitely would return if I did. I would certainly recommend that you treat your taste buds.

As I was typing in my review about what a wonderful view this place has, just had a rude moment with the server. She came to ask how the food was so I replied the soup is great!(I had the crab bisque) but the bread feels stale(which it was VERY) she replied oh it's a courtesy bread you're not charged for it. What does that mean??? If you're not charged for it you give stale food? NOT impressed! I came here because of all the great review, leaving not so happy. And I was looking their drink menu so I can come back after my hike for dinner! On another note the view is Breathtaking! They have outside seating, and they offer a shuttle if you don't wanna hike up the mini hike.

I wanted to give this 5 stars, the boy wanted 4 stars only because he is really picky about who gives 5 to and said this place gets 4 because the bread wasn't warm (told you he's picky). I wanted to treat the boy to a good meal after he drove us over 5 hours from Anchorage to Denali National Park. Overlook didn't disappoint. For starters we had the yak sliders which were great, perfectly cooked and seasoned but the kicker was the curry ketchup! Then I had the scallop salad for an entree-it was small and light but I wasn't too hungry so it was perfect. The scallops were large and perfectly cooked. The boy had the lamb which he completely devoured so I guess he thought they were good :) Great meal, great service, will defiantly come back next time in Denali.

Visited August 2015. Incredible Foodie & Mixology Experience. Not on the main drag but more than worth looking for. Located just up the hill from town an easy 1/8th mi up from AK 3. We did not expect a restaurant of this caliber, what a diamond in the rough. Loved the Alaskan Salmon, Beet Salad, and Ahi Tacos.

Food and drink are so good. It really deserve at least one Michelin star. Only downside is it is in Denali.

Drinks on tap from 49th state are priced better than going to 49th state itself. Menu items were priced for the establishment. Had the bisque, it was great, scallops were good as well and the sliders were awesome. Nice view, unique setup. Focaccia bread was ok, bland but it's complementary so can't complain too much. Servers were super nice!

Great place to stop while in the area visiting Denali. We started with an Arnold Palmer that was surprisingly made with an herbal tea but was still good and very much homemade tea and lemonade. I got the bitters and lemon carbonated drink that was more bitter than lemony. We then got appetizers of Crab Bisque which was served piping hot from a small caldron and was excellent with a large clump of fresh crab in the center. We also had the Cheese Tray which was good but lacking a cracker or bread accompaniment. We ended up using some of the focaccia bread that was brought. The other dried fruits and cheeses were nice. I was disappointed that the Hanger Steak had been removed from the menu. We were told it had been replaced by a Ribeye of which I wasn't crazy about so I got the Pork Chop. I later heard the waitress saying that it was replaced with Prime Rib. Then we heard variations of Prime Rib, Prime Ribeye, etc. I'm not sure I would've changed my mind, but I might've given the choice. But I'm glad I didn't. The pork chop was awesome. It was so good, I wanted to pick it up and gnaw on the bone like I would've if I were at home! The apple hash that came along with it was perfect. My partner got the Beef Wellington and found it to be good but we were both loving the pork chop. The Beef Wellington was good but overly rich with the pastry and foie gras with the beef being a little bit lack luster. We were almost too full for dessert but couldn't pass up the Baked Alaska. It wasn't actually baked but rather flambéed. We chose not to have ours flambed but rather torched. It was ok. The moose trax ice cream was a fun substitute and the chocolate cake bottom was crisp which was unusual but gave it a bit of crunch. We would go back if in the area, just for the pork chop!

Chelsea is great and so is the food. We were lucky enough to sit on the patio on a clear day. I recommend the tacos and the Alaska Grown drink, so bomb!

First time here and it was really good. I had the Kobe steak, rack of lamb, and the black cod with stuffed king crab. All of the food was crafted well and tasted great. Serving sizes were what you'd expect. The drinks were not the best but the salmon bloody marry was good. The view is great as well. I would definitely recommend coming here and trying some of their unique menu items.

Fine dinning at it's best in the middle of no where was a pleasant surprise. I had bacon wrap proscuitto and chocolate lava cake. Service was top notch and their knowledge of food and wine pairing was amazing. If you are in Denali go and check it out.

Getting to this place on foot is a little tricky but it is well worth the find in Denali! When I saw the deck from below, I knew this was the perfect place to grab a drink and enjoy a chill vibe while taking in the incredible views of the Denali Park. Our family started with an Alaskan-brewed IPA and an Alaskan Grown (cucumber gin gimlet) - both were excellent - on the spacious deck with some of the best views in the area. The drinks and views were so good we decided to have dinner on the deck as well. We started with the popcorn appetizer - air popped popcorn with truffle oil, bacon, Parmesan and garlic - excellent. For dinner, we shared: Yak sliders-very good. Scallops with pork belly over quinoa (rice) - excellent. Kobe beef steaks with balsamic reduction cooked medium rare (pink center) - nicely marbled with excellent flavor - perfectly paired with the mushrooms appetizer, which was excellent. Finished the night with creme brûlée - very good. Service was also attentive and excellent. With the incredible views and delicious drinks and food, the experience was perfect. Treat yourself and go here while visiting Denali. You won't regret it!

This is a great place to get out of the typical tourist scene in Denali. Up above the Salmon Bake on Sugarloaf Mountain, the Overlook Bar & Grill is perched. This is a sit back and have a beer kind of place, over 20 taps and a bunch of bottles. If you're in a rush, don't bother. The hand-pounded 1/2 lb burgers are really good and there's a bunch of different kinds. I get the ribs, they're amazing, covered in homemade hickory BBQ sauce. The restaurant crew will talk to you like a regular and drink a beer with you after they get off. Get a beer, get a shot, get some food and stay after the restaurant closes at 11pm for the local employees antics.
